Wheat Rava Upma can be cooked when we want a quick breakfast . i  usually use whole rava to get that crunchy bite.

Whole wheat rava – 2 cups.
Mustard seeds- 1 tsp
Channa dal – 1tsp
Water 1 1/2 cups
Onion- 1
Green chilli- 2
Ginger – a small piece
Curry leaves – a sprig
salt – to taste
oil

Method: Dry roast rava in a kadai.

Add oil in a wok. Temper with mustard seeds and channa dal.

When it splutters add onion , chilly, ginger .

Fry well and the add the water and salt. Keep closed . When water starts boiling add the rava while stirring and cover it . Slow cook with occasional stirring .Can be prepared in 10 mts . Garnish with coriander leaves . Serve with Onion chutney or sambhar or curd. Diet conscious people will love this.
