Honey cake.

San Ana bakery was our favorite hunt in our earlier days in Singapore.All our birthday cakes were ordered here. An unusual cake called honey cake is a specialty here. I surfed the web to get a recipe and try this as my first cake . Finally i got few . But i adjusted with what i had in my hand and baked . Result was Kids like it very much although it doesn’t come near the shop standard yet i am happy i have tried a new cake .
Ingredients:
Cake flour – 2 cup
Caster sugar – 1/2 cup
Honey – 4 tbls
Eggs -2
Baking powder- ¼ tsp
Baking soda – ¼ tsp
Butter – 50 gm
Instant coffee powder – 1tsp

Method:Mix the dry items . Then make beat eggs and add honey . Add this to the flour and mix well . Add butter and we can see the dough tightening . If needed add some more butter . Then dust a cake pan and pour this to ¾ of the pan. Preheat the oven at 180 degree. Then place the pan in it and bake for 20 -30 minutes.

Prick a toothpick in the center and if it comes out dry the preparation is over. Cool it and then turn upside down .
