Garlic Pickle.

This is a special pickle my mother in law makes. Usually we get the same type in the shops. Anyway for those who do not know the preparation and want to do at home can follow this .
Ingredients

Garlic -6 (Whole)
Methi powder – ½ tsp (Dry roast and powder it )
Chilly powder – 7-8 tsp
Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
Salt- as per your taste
Gingelly oil – 2tbsp
Jaggery – 2 tblsp
Tamarind – small  lemon size

Method:
Soak tamarind for 1 hour to soften it. De seed it . Take the soft pulp .. Fry garlic in oil till it gets cooked well.

Cool it . Then grind it with tamarind pulp to a smooth paste.

Again heat oil, add mustard seeds, asafoetida. Add the paste, methi powder, chilly powder, jaggery and salt . You can increase the oil as per your wish . Just keep on stirring the paste in a low flame.

After it gets thickened and leaves the sides , cool it and store in clean bottles.
