Poondu Kaara sev.


i got this recipe from a Television Cookery show. Finally for this blog i tried and am posting it for all of you.

Gram Flour – 2 cups
Rice flour – 1 cup
Red chilly powder- 1 tsp
Black pepper powder- ½ tsp
Green chilly- 2
Garlic – 5 flakes
Butter- ¼ cup
Oil for deep frying.

Sieve the flour together. Add Red chilly powder, pepper powder, salt .

Grind garlic and green chilly together.

Add water to this and filter it . Use this water to make the dough .


Use the one holed Murukku achu and make two circles in hot oil.

Simmer the stove and remove  it when you hear the sizzling sound vanishing . Break it with the ladle . If it doesn’t break leave it in the oil for few minutes. Drain the murukku in a tissue paper .


Break it and store in dry air tight containers. I used the star shaped mold for variation.
