As requested by my niece i wanted to try Vengaya Vadava thuvaiyal. Vengaya vadavam is usd for garnishing Sambhar and Kuzhambu . Thuvaiyal out of it is rare one and i have only heard of it . Vengaya Vadavam – 2
Red chilli -2
Tamarind – a small lemon size
Curry leaves – few
Ginger – 1 inch
Salt and oil.
Add Tamarind and coconut and fry little more.
Finally add curry leaves and saute for few minutes.
Keep this aside. Fry the Vengaya vadavam in oil in slow fire .
When everything is cold add little water and salt , grind in a mixie . This thuvaiyal has a strong taste . Ginger and curry leaves can be omitted if you do not like that taste.
