Paruppu thuvaiyal.




Tuvar Dal – 3 tbls
Moong Dal – 1 tbls
Red Chilli -3
Black Pepper -4
Garlic – 3 flakes.
Oil and salt .


Method: Fry all the ingredients in oil.


The browning of dals indicate the final stage .

Switch off the flame .And transfer the contents into a vessel. Add little water , so that grinding will be easier.


After 10 minutes , grind the dal with salt in a mixie to a smooth paste, add little water if needed. We can add little coconut at this stage and grind .Paruppu Thuvaiyal is well suited with Vatha Kuzhambu and can be added to rice and be eaten.
