Keerai poriyal.


Greens (Amaranthus)– 1 bundle
Moong Dal – ½ cup
Green chilli- 2
Coconut 2 tsp
Mustard seeds -1 tsp
Urad dal -1 tsp
Salt and oil.

Method: Clean the greens , cut into small pieces and rinse well. Add moong dal to it and with little water cook in a closed vessel. Stir frequently and when the greens and dal are soft switch off the flame. In an open add oil, splutter mustard seed, Urad dal and add chilly . Then add the greens and dal . Add salt . If there is any left over water cook till the moisture gets evaporated . Finally add coconut and serve .
