On festive days and when guests visit this dish is prepared . The smell of the sambhar boiling gives us a festive mood . Vegetables like Brinjal, Drum stick, White pumpkin , Yellow pumpkin can be used for this .
Drumstick – 2
Tuvar Dal – 1 cup
Tamarind water -1 cup
(1) To grind
Channa Dal – 2 tsp
Urad dal -2 tsp
Cut drumstick into finger long Pieces .
Cook the Tuvar Dal in a pressure cooker till soft.
Soak a small lemon size Tamarind in water and take the juice .
Roast the ingredients in (1 ) with little oil and grind it to a smooth powder.
Add 1 tsp oil in a kadai .
Boil the drumsticks in tamarind water.
Add salt and boil for few minutes.
Temper with the ingredients mentioned above and add curry leaves .
