Black eyed bean Vadai .


i saw this recipe in my friend’s blog and the very first time i prepared it attracted my Husband’s colleagues. It is an excellent combination for Tamarind rice . The method is also simple and we can grind it in mixie, no hard task of washing the grinder.

Black eyed beans /Lobia – 2 cups
Green chilli/ red chilli – 4
Ginger – ½ inch
Rice flour – 2 tsp
Onion – 2
Cabbage ,Spinach or any greens – 1 cup
Saunf – 1tsp
Hing – 1tsp

Soak the Lobia in water for 2 to 3 hours .

The drain the water and grind it with ginger, saunf, chilli with little or no water into a smooth paste.

Mix salt, hing , rice flour, cut onion, cut cabbage and mix well . Then heat oil in a kadai .Make small balls out of the ground paste and flatten it . Deep fry in oil in low flame . Then drain the oil on a tissue paper and serve it hot .
