Palak White Kabuli Channa masala .


From  Subbus kitchen i was attracted to this recipe as i always like Channa and Palak. So mixing both in a recipe influenced  me. With slight modifications i tried this and came out pretty good . A very easy method and instead of Palak we can use any Greens also.


White Kabuli Channa – 1 cup

Onion -2

Tomato -2

Palak – 1 cup

Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp

Red chilli powder – 1 tsp

Garam masala / Channa masal powder – 1 tsp

Kasoori methi – 1 tsp


Oil .


Soak Channa for at least 1 hours and pressure cook till soft . Retain the water .

Cut Onion, tomato, palak into fine pieces .

In a kadai add oil , fry onion, tomato till they become soft.

Then add chopped Palak and sauté well. Add ginger garlic paste and again fry well.

Add the channa along with boiled water , Red chilli powder, Garam masala  powder , salt and cover it . Cook for 10 to 15 minutes .

Then crush Kasoori methi in between your palms to give that extra tinge in flavour and add it to the gravy .

Taste for salt and serve with Roti or any pulao.
