Mushroom Briyani.


With mushrooms in hand and with a thirst for a Different Sunday meal i searched for a recipe and knocked upon this , which is pretty easy and tastes delicious.

The ingredients required here.


Briyani Rice – 1 ½ cup
Button Mushroom – 1 cup
Ginger garlic paste – 3 tsp
Tomato – 3
Curd -2 tbls
Cinnamom- 1 inch
Cardamom -2
Cloves -2
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red Chilli powder – 2 tsp
Garam masala powder – 2 tsp
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Cumin powder -1 tsp


Cut mushroom into thin slices. Add 1 1/2 tsp of ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp of red chilli powder, coriander powder, Cumin powder ,salt to the curd and add mushrooms to it.


Marinate for at least half an hour.


Meanwhile cut tomatoes and onions into thin slices . In a heavy bottom vessel add oil.

Then add cinnamon ,cloves, bay leaf. Then add onion, tomatoes and sauté well.

Then add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, garam masala powder .

Add the marinated mushroom. Saute well. Add 3 cups of water , salt and rice and mix well. Cook in slow flame . Cover it . In about 15 minutes the briyani will be ready.
