Lima Beans Curry.



Lima Beans is always my favourite one and i was always getting attracted to it, the pink colour was irresistible. but somehow on my market visits i forgot to buy as my usual Vegetable vendor does not sell it . But today i wanted to cook and so i searched some shops and finally spotted it .The soft cooked lima beans curry is tasty and is also a good side dish for roti.Nowadays i use Omam in all dishes , as suggested by a friend and my spices box has a separate container for it . It gives good taste and good digestion too.DSC09809

Lima Beans -1 cup
Big onion -1
Tomato -1
Chilli powder -1 tsp
Coriander powder -1 tsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Omam -1 tsp
Saunf -1 tsp
Salt – as required

Peel the Lima beans . Cut tomato and Onion . Heat oil and splutter add mustard seeds, omam and sunf . Add onion, tomato . Saute well . Add the powders and fry well. Then add water . Then add lima beans and salt . Cover and cook for at least 15 minutes. When soft garnish with curry leaves and serve hot.DSC09810
