Crunchy CupCakes.

Chez Cate Lou is my favorite blogger and i love her doughnuts.In my too much  enthu. i started to try her donut recipe. Then only i realized i had only the Donut cookie cutter and not the moulds. So i was disappointed. I quickly added some flour and poured the batter in the cupcake moulds.That’s it. i got a crunchy cupcake and i had to just stop with one as my children loved it. Thanks Cate.

Ingredients:

Whole Wheat Flour -1 cup

Cocoa Powder – 1/4 cup

Baking soda- 1/2 tsp

Baking Powder – 1/2 tsp

Salt -1 /4 tsp

Unsalted Butter – 3 tbls

Dark Brown sugar – 1/2 cup

Egg -1

Butter milk – 1/2 cup

Vanilla essence – 1/2 tsp

Mini chocolate Chips – 1/2 cup

Method:

1. Preheat the oven  to 200 degrees.Line the cupcake pans with paper cups.

2 In a small bowl , whisk together flour, cocoa powder, Baking powder, Baking soda, salt.

3. In a medium bowl whisk together  butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add sugar and whisk well. Finally add the butter milk and vanilla essence.

4. Add all the dry ingredients together  to the wet ingredients and stir until  just combined . Add the chocolate chips.

5.Fill in the cupcake moulds and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

6.When it is  done , serve hot.

 Tips for making substitute for Butter milk:

Mix 1 cup Milk and 1 tbls lemon juice . Allow it to settle for few minutes and then use as per the recipe.
