Kadai paneer or Kadai vegetables are another addition to our choice when we eat out. As kids usually select a paneer dish we add this to make the side dishes stretch for four. i like the kadai in which the food is presented and when i saw the recipe in sharmis passion i went on to cook and as i had a cauliflower sitting in the fridge i thought i should try with CF only to give a break for its shelf life and also to try a new recipe. Now for the recipe
Ingredients:
Cauliflower -1 small flower
Capsicum – 1/2 chopped
Big onion -1 /2
Tomato- 2
Fresh Cream – 3 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
Garam masala Powder – 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves – a small bunch
Oil – 3 tsp
Salt
To roast and grind
Red Chilli- 2
Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp
Corainder seeds – 2 tsp
Method:
1. Dry roast the ingredients given above and when cool grind it coarsely preferably in a mortar or in a mixie.
2.Chop the tomatoes and grind it to a fine paste without adding water .
2. Separate the cauliflower florettes and steam cook them . i used my induction steamer . I find this very handy in cooking . It saves time and also steaming in this gives me vegetables without losing their colour.
3. In a kadai add the onion, capsicum and saute well. Then add the ground powder and saute well. Add Tomato paste .
4. Allow it to boil for few minutes . Add garam masala and then add the steamed cooked Cauliflower and salt. Finally add a dash of cream . Garnish with coriander leaves
