Peanut chutney is already in the menu. But a variation from this which i got in the web is also a good one which is without coconut is a must try one. The difference between the previous recipe and this is increasing more onion .i must say this had been made by me few weeks ago and the photo was pending in the phone camera. Now with the mixie out of order and waiting period for the new mixie is on the go i think my craving for chutney made me to post this one. Otherwise i was lazy to blog , but i have shot many photos which will come soon after i overcome my laziness. And to raise my collars i am surviving without a mixie for the past one week and i made Arisi thengai payasam for Tamil New Year also Briyani in this mixie less period with my small stone grinder .i think we can cope up without a mixie if we have this handy one at home. What about an Ammi. that sounds good. Anyhow waiting for my New Preethi mixie to battle the kitchen chores with more enthusiasm and vigour again.
Peanuts -1/4 cup
Big Onion -2
Red Chillies -3
Garlic – 5 cloves
Tamarind – a small pinch
Salt and water – as required.
1.First heat oil in a kadai.
2. Then add Red chilli and fry for a while.
3.Remove it from pan and then add peanuts and fry well in low flame.
4. Meanwhile cut the big onion into small pieces and peel the garlic.
5.Fry well in oil and allow the ingredients to cool.
6. When cool grind with tamarind and salt with little water in a mixie.
7. If you want you can temper , but i prefer as such.Serve with Dosai or idli .
